I-Plant

Dub producer from the South of France, Mathieu “Tooney Roots” Georges a.k.a I-plant is influenced by the dub music by the roots of the 1970's and the real sound of Jamaica but also by the UK sound of the 1980's. He has for spiritual fathers, dub masters such as King Tubby, Scientist, Lee Perry, Augustus Pablo, Roots Radics or Dub Syndicate.

I-plant is before all multi-instrumentalist player: he plays drums, percussions, keyboard, and bass. He starts to play music by learning piano in music academy. He was 8 years old.

Nowadays, I-Plant is a dub producer who produces a dub music rather roots but sometime with some stepper or rocker influences. He has also his own studio and label, I-Grow Records.
