Bush Chemists

Bush Chemists is a band from London, England, consisting of Dougie Wardrop and Paul Davey.

At first, Dougie started making dub tunes when he joined the band Centry in the late 1980s. At the same time, Dougie Wardrop set up the label and studio Conscious Sounds. After Centry disbanded, Dougie continued to work in his studio and started a new band, Bush Chemists, with Paul Davey.

The aim of Bush Chemists is to produce both their own tunes under this name but also to co-produce music with other artists. Like that appear some side projects with Dougie Wardrop like main leader: East Meets West, Hydroponics and The Dub Specialists (with members of Love Grocer). Also, Dougie being the main sound engineer for Jah Warrior. Bush Chemists have also produced albums for reggae musicians such as Kenny Knots, Culture Freeman and King General.
