New (free) releases on-line

The aim of the dub-connection is also to support the netlabels (mainly in the domain of the dub music) for the excellent work they do. And, also, all the musical discoveries they give to us. So, recently, via 2 of this netlabels, 4 news releases came out: 2 on the Italian netlabel A Quiet Bump and 2 others on the French Fresh Poulp Records.

Morpho - Maracudja
The first one is proposed on A Quiet Bump by the French producer Morpho. He signs here his first release. The music of this producer from Paris is totally in the side of the French novo-dub movement. The sound is heavy and slow, almost chaotic, full of electronic tricks and others effects, with a break beat rythmic.

Sardinia Bass Legalize - Visions of my land
Still on the Italian netlabel where the band Sardinia Bass Legalize proposes a new release called “Visions of my land”. This net EP is a subtle blend of dub, rather roots, and (Italian?) folk. In keeping with the trend led by the French band Brain Damage which proposes the use a more traditional sound, music and intrumentation.

Roots Ista Posse - Music For Grassbarr IIRoots Ista Posse - Music For Grassbarr II
Back to the electronic! Another producer from the French capital, Roots Ista Posse, and still in a heavy electronic sound but this time on the netlabel Fresh Poulp Records. This maxi 4 tracks, “Music For Grassbarr II”, is a very powerful piece of novo-electro-dub like we can release in France: Again, the producer does not deny the effects. He likes that. And, by listening this release, we feel Roots Ista Posse produces his sound with heart and give his own pleasure to our ears by the same time.

Dubosmium - Green Element
Finally, in conclusion, the new release of the Moroccan producer Dubosmium. Dubosmium proposes a EP of 8 tracks. In fact, only the three first are new productions. The second part of the release is a serial of remix (by some other artists from Fresh Poulp Records) of tracks from “Horiozontal plane polar Dub”, the previous maxi of producer. So, the sound goes from the excellent dub proposed by Dubosmium to some very powerful drum’n'bass tracks though some dub stepper.
